Deer Valley Resort is a winter wonderland today! How do I know? I have skied there the past 4 out of 5 days and even had first tracks on Empire earlier this week. The skiing is improving each day and more snow fell over the past few days. Book your trip, get your Deer Valley Resort Ski Rentals and hit the slopes this winter.

DV always waits a few extra days to open to ensure their perfectly manicured groomed runs are ready for skiers. This year is no different and it’s always worth the wait. With other Park City resorts opening now, we’re sure DV will be ready to rip on Saturday, December 5th. What’s the best ski for Deer Valley? Try this year’s Rossignol Classic 80. This ski was built for Deer Valley. An arc’ing machine. If you’re in the market for a new pair of skis, make sure to reserve with a DV Ski Rental shop to test these skis before you go out and buy them. Call the best DV Ski Shop today!

Baldy Chutes

November 1, 2009

My favorite part of Deer Valley is Empire Pass and the Baldy Chutes. The chutes are double black, steep, and make the legs hurt by the bottom. Normally you can have the entire run to yourself. It is peaceful yet challenging at the same time. With a little courage most advanced skiers can handle the chutes. I would recommend being on a demo ski from any Deer Valley Ski Shop for better performance. Demo skis are built to better handle more challenging terrain.

The peaks are covered

October 23, 2009

The top of the Deer Valley Resort is covered with snow and in about a month the lifts will be running and all the runs will be white. This is a good time of year; the calm before the storm. It is filled with anticipation of the unknown; will it snow? Will the tourists visit? Will the economy turn around? Those questions won’t have answers for a bit but things will be ready in Park City, Utah. So get excited, book a trip and book your Deer Valley Ski Equipment Rentals.

Deer Valley Resort in Utah did not exist prior to 1981. Since then they have only helped the ski industry. Why? Because they have raised the bar for customer service and changed the way ski resorts operate. Today guests of Deer Valley can expect a professional friendly staff, new high speed lifts, open groomed runs, bowl skiing, epic food, and comfortable ski lodges. There is no loud music playing in lift lines (barely any lift lines at all), crowded runs or rude employees. So the next time you visit Deer Valley Resort make sure to book your Deer Valley Utah Ski Rentals early to have the proper ski rental equipment to fully enjoy the Deer Valley Resort experience.

Deer Valley Resort is consistently ranked among the top 3 ski resorts in North America and they’re offering a bike ride through the resort to learn about the history of the area. The hike will take about 3 – 4 hours and go through beautiful terrain. In the ride, you’ll learn about the area’s mining history. For those who are interested, you’re to meet at mid-mountain at Silver Lake Lodge. You’re not required to have a reservation but this event can reach capacity. The participants should be ready to ride…they’ll face some challenging terrain. Deer Valley asks to be in good physical shape and to be prepared with the proper gear. Most Deer Valley Ski Rental Shops will have plenty of information on the event. Swing by a Deer Valley Ski Shop and check out what else is going on in the area this weekend!

On September 5, the Park City Point 2 Point endurance mountain bike race will occur. The race will start at Quinn’s Junction and finish at The Canyons Resort. The course will run through all three mountain resorts in Park City. With a variety of trails in the area, the race will provide challenging and unique terrain for those riders. It will take place on single-track trail and the total distance is around 75 miles and will include 10-12,000 vertical feet of climbing. The race will wrap up with a free community concert in the Forum at The Canyons Resort. As summer is coming to an end, make sure to enjoy Park City’s wonderful mountain bike riding. Visit a Deer Valley Ski Rental Shop to be outfitted with the perfect rental equipment for your needs!

New skis for next year!

July 24, 2009

With the summer slowly passing by, excitement is certainly starting to brew in town for the upcoming ski season! Deer Valley Ski Shops will begin receiving all of their new skis for the 2009 – 2010 season. The ski companies continue to blow away their customers year after year with new technology. Many Deer Valley Ski Rental shops are excited about Rossignol’s new Avenger series. They’re offering a few different sizes of this line, but the Avenger 82 is one that has greatly drawn my interest. At 82 mm in the waist, this ski will be extremely versatile on both groomers and off-trail. Though it’s only July 22, let it snow! I’m excited!
